Welcome!!!

Thanks for visiting me at MassageForTheArts.com. As of December 1st  Massage for the Arts is celebrating it's 3rd year!  I feel compelled to give special thanks to a few of you; first, Ginni Saunders who seems to be a one person marketing committee for me!  And Michelle Beare who continuously puts me on the Ross Valley Moms email listing, not to mention those who have provided hip music, and Feng Shui assistance!  Further thanks to all those who continue to pass my card around to friends and neighbors.  Word of mouth is truly the best of all compliments!  On a house keeping note, I have raised my rates (slightly) to keep up with my overhead.  If this is a hardship, PLEASE let me know and we'll work something out.

On the fundraising front; together we've raised over 5,000.00 in cash and services  for nonprofit theater in the Bay Area!  In addition, we've raised another 2,000.00 for other nonprofits such as the Marin YMCA, St. Marks School, San Domenico School and Marin Family Services Agency.  My most recent batch of donations has gone to Doctors Without Borders for obvious reasons.

Welcome to those who I don't yet know.   My goal has been to create a comfortable, convenient space where people can get the best quality body work designed specifically to meet their individual needs.   I make my rates affordable so that  folks can make massage a regular part of their lives without breaking the bank.  In fact,  I'm confident that you can't get this quality of massage for less anywhere else in the Bay Area!

I see massage as not just my livelihood but my contribution.  That's where my passion as a theater artist comes in.  A portion of my profits go to fund local  nonprofit theater AND I give a 10% discount to artists (of any stripe), teachers and caregivers.  Whether you want to remove stress,  work on specific aches and pains, or both,  I can help.  I'll see you here!

The local theater companies you help fund are near and dear to me.  I have worked with Alternative Theater Ensemble and am  a former member of Porchlight Theater Company; very good people who use very few resources to bring a richness to our community.

These are some of the theaters you help fund:

ASK ME ABOUT GIFT CERTIFICATES!

A good massage therapist should be first and foremost a good listener.  A massage should feel like a great conversation, not an automatic car wash.  Simply put, your body gets just as angry as you do when you feel like no one is listening.

My job is to have a conversation with the body.  The body will invariably say what it wants.  In turn I can point out places where that body is holding tension or where that body is asleep.  A human body given good information will always go toward balance and stability (all by itself).
